Paul Hollow has maintained a personal injury practice throughout his thirty years in Chambers. His practice primarily involves representing Claimants in road traffic accident and occupational injury claims but he has also successfully represented Defendants. He has advised a large number of Claimants in noise-induced hearing loss claims against a brickworks and he is involved in the current litigation by military personnel against the Ministry of Defence over hearing loss suffered while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan (Durrheim & others v MoD). Paul is also well known for his work on workplace stress claims.

Road traffic accident claims: a full range of cases for Claimants from minor whiplash injuries to major trauma, including claims settling for over £2.5m. Experience as an advocate and as a Judge in dealing with allegations of fraud and low velocity impact claims
Occupational Injury: including noise-induced hearing loss claims; repetitive strain injury claims as well as machinery-related injuries, including traumatic amputations, and all manner of workplace tripping and slipping claims. Stress at work claims
Other claims: occupiers liability claims (for Claimants and Defendants); Highways Act claims; Fatal Accident claims
Clinical Negligence: advising Claimants who have undergone poor medical treatment, whether through poor surgical practice or misdiagnosis.
Paul has accepted instructions under conditional fee agreements since they were introduced and he is happy to accept instructions directly from members of the public in personal injury claims where that is appropriate.
Paul has been a Deputy District Judge in the County Court for 15 years and regularly hears financial disputes as well as private law children cases. He brings that experience to his cases in addition to his long experience at the Bar. He is committed to access to justice and volunteers as a Director of the Eastern Legal Support Trust and as a Trustee of the Cambridge Family Mediation Service.
